Fair Trade Fortnight (May 1st to 15th ), Barrie's Mayor Lehmann will assist the BFTWG with a Fair Trade Town flag raising at City Hall. May 1st, 12:15 PM. This event marks the beginning of Fair Trade Fortnight. Lots of Fair Trade coffee.
Fair Trade Fortnight (May 1st to 15th ), Innisfil Public Library is organizing a Fair Trade Fortnight event that will include all three Innisfil libraries. For further details contact Susan Baues: sbaues@innisfil.library.on.ca. More details to follow.
May 12th, Ethiopian Dinner, 7 PM, Collier St. United Church. Authentic Ethiopian dinner and entertainment with Fair Trade coffee. For further details contact taralbailey@hotmail.com
Saturday June 2nd, Celebrate Barrie. The annual event on the city's waterfront. Lots of free Fair Trade coffee, tea, hot chocolate and colouring contests all day.

April 11th, the Stephen Lewis Grandmothers provide snacks for the Valdy concert at the Barrie South Shore Centre. Fair Trade Barrie is on hand with coffee and tea. Concerts are organized by the Barrie Folk Society.

March 25th, YMCA Bike-A-Thon. Participants raise funds for the Strong Kids campaign which helps needy kids use the "Y" facilities free of charge. Fair Trade coffee served by Nancy and John Knapp.

Jan. 1st, 2012, Barrie City Hall. Mayor Jeff Lehman presented his inaugural New Year's Day Brunch & Levee, in support of the United Way of Greater Simcoe County. Chefs from some of Barrie's finest restaurants lent their culinary skills to this special affair. Nancy Knapp, Ingi Gould, Sandra Junkin and Bruce Morton of the BFTWG served Fair Trade coffee for all. The event was sponsored by Hamley's Tea and Coffee Co.
